I have several Zojirushi appliances, so when the fancy oil emptying tube on my T-Fal failed I looked for one made in Japan. I decided to ignore the blurb for this appliance because I'd seen one like it (I thought) in use in Tokyo. I must admit that I was surprised when it arrived. It was much smaller than I thought. It's smaller than a toaster!However, for two if us it's absolutely ideal for quick side dishes or appetizers. Want to turn a few shrimp and veggies into tempura? No problem. A quick British fish and chip lunch? Easy! The temperatures are very accurate (albeit in Celsius, not Fahrenheit) and there's a handy guide on the side. That's good, because the manual is in Japanese, but the pictures make operation obvious.Best of all, it takes hardly any shelf space, less oil and cleanup is really quick and easy. A great purchase. It took a while to arrive (the seller says that), but it was nicely packed and it's a pleasure to use.
