Keeps my coffee hot while I'm at work. For those who are looking for a mug that keeps it hot and not so bulky in size, this is the right item for you.

I threw it away because the interior holds & releases flavors
By Tenderg Host
The grey painted interior is the reason I threw this away and why I would strongly recommend against it.The grey paint picked up the flavor of the liquid - once I used it for coffee, it made everything else taste of coffee afterwards. I tried to thoroughly clean it, I even let it soak with baking soda for a week, but that didn't help.It is very important that materials that are in contact with food or drink do not interact with their contents, that is why stainless steel is a good option. Strangely, this mug is stainless steel on the outside, why not on the inside? The grey interior paint is bad design, both for human health reasons and for being as neutral as possible by not interacting with or retaining the flavors of its contents. The old-school thermoses were made of suspended glass inside for the reason that glass is does not absorb, out-gas or interact with the contents, especially if it is going to be in there for a while under hot temperatures. Glass brakes easily so most use stainless steel which does not absorb or out-gas but has more chemical interaction than glass. This mug uses grey paint which both absorbs and possibly leeches out into its contents!Even though the lid fit snugly and did not leak, the top little compartment rattled because it did not fit together well and my guess is that, when empty, it compromises the insulation. On the upside, the styling of this mug is cool and the size is convenient, but function trumps form in this case.Summary.- It looks stylish.- The plastic lid rattles when not packed.- The grey paint interior is not a neutral material, it interacts with its contents and both holds and releases flavors.
