I never really carry around mugs and never saw the point in trying to keep something warm all morning until I bought a Keurig. Then I needed a mug so I could bring some green tea to work with me in the morning. I had heard about the Zojirushi mug and rice cookers from the Giantbombcast, but was a little worried about the size. It says 17 ounces but it's really a 0.5 liter or 16.9 ounces on the packaging. I thought I would want somthing large enough to hold two cups of tea from the Keurig. I then watched the video review on Tested.com and it praised this mug so I went ahead and bought it. I used it today and it holds a large and small cup of tea/coffee from a keurig and kept it piping hot until I finished it four hours later.The mug is amazing. Never spills, amazing seal, hard to inadvertently burn your mouth with the spout design, again this is the greatest mug ever.

This is the best thermal mug. Not at all like a thermos where you have to drink out of a wide mouth bottle. This mug kept my coffee hot from 9am to 6pm!!! I actually burned my tongue taking a sip two hours after I had put the coffee in. Don't put anything in it that you cannot drink right away. It REALLY holds heat even when I leave the top open for a while.

I won't even go into how many thermos type mugs and cups that I have tried. If someone told me that this would keep liquids hot for as long as it does, I would not have believed them. I would probably have even mocked them a little. But after putting hot water in the Zojirushi the morning after I received it, I set it aside and forgot about it until the next day. (approximately 24 hours later) I remembered it and decided to pour out the cold water and start my experiment over again. But when I poured it out, it wasn't cold water. It wasn't even warm water. It was actually almost still hot water. If my wife hadn't been there when I did it, no one would have believed it. I almost didn't believe it.So after a few more tests, we concluded that whoever designed this little gem knew something no one else did, or at least discovered some new secret in thermodynamics. Whatever!All I know is that if you buy one of these Zojirushi Mugs, I'm sure you'll agree that it's some of the best money you ever spent.Finally. Hot coffee all day long.Well done.
