I had a 4L Zojirushi unit for several years (using it daily) prior to this one and loved it. A new feature this one has is it plays a tune when the water boils & reaches the desired temperature.

Does what is needed

Seems to do what is required. Seems to have a long heat up time one half hour. A tea kettle would be just as good and faster;but it does maintain the heat for a long time.
